Our Story
Mike McCann started Global Business Café in 2007 because he saw a strong need to help businesspeople communicate and bond regardless of their place on an organizational chart.
Many professionals are challenged when wanting to build a business relationship with senior-level executives. Solving these “connection” challenges are the reason Global Business Café exists.
Mike’s book series, Connecting with Key Decision Makers (How to Reach “Hard-to-Reach” Businesspeople Who Can Say “Yes”), illuminates many unique and professional tips and techniques on how to successfully connect with senior-level decision makers…many from his firsthand experiences. The completely updated book in the series of Connecting is coming mid-2026.
Mike is a graduate of Baylor University with a Marketing degree. He also earned an MBA from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with emphasis in accounting. In his spare time, Mike participates in amateur radio (WA5SQD) and travels.

Alexa Reed
Alexa is a copywriter with eight years of experience at two marketing communication companies in St. Louis, MO. Alexa enjoys playing tennis and being with her husband and two daughters in her spare time.
Cynthia Gallagher
Cynthia is our virtual office assistant living in Little Rock, AR. Cynthia coordinates activities for Mike and the staff (does an excellent job). In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys being with her golden retriever taking long walks.
Dwight Davis
Dwight coordinates events and travels for Global Business Cafe from his home base in Houston, TX. Dwight enjoys spending time with relatives in San Antonio and Austin and rafting down Texas rivers.
Eric Lamb
Eric has 20+ years of experience as a graphic designer and is an intergral part of the creative team at Global Business Cafe. From his home in Dallas, TX, Eric enjoys amateur radio and travel.
Kathy Boyd
Kathy handles many of the incoming customer requests virtually from her home in San Antonio, TX. Kathy likes to go camping and mountain bike riding with her husband and daughter in Central Texas.
Katie Gonzalez
Katie is responsible for keeping everyone at Global Business Cafe on time for company-wide activities and making sure communication is clear at every step. From her home in Austin, TX, Katie enjoys going to restraurants and sporting events in Central Texas
Steve Morris
Steve is an excellent wordsmith with over 30 years of experience producing copy that "Communicates in a way that your audience understands." In his spare time, Steve enjoys touring on his motorcycle and going to music events.
